The most important criteria are
Rotation/oscillation action as this has been shown to be the most effective way to remove the plaque that causes gum disease and dental caries
Small brush head for access to all areas of the mouth
Replaceable head. Should be changed every 4-6 weeks
Timers. 2 minute timers are the most effective way to make sure that you are cleaning for the right amount of time.
