Description
500ml 0.03% triclosan, 0.12%Copolymer, 5.7% ethanol mouthrinse, available as Plax Fresh (fresh mint--blue, peppermint--green).
Action
Antibacterial mouthrinse by virtue of triclosan with copolymer, & by reducing bacterial numbers it reduces plaque formation & bad breath, reduces gingivitis & promotes healing after surgery or ulceration.It is usually second to chlorhexidine in effectiveness, however does not have the staining problems of chlohexidine when used as a longterm mouthrinse, & has a lower alcohol content.
Use
As an alternate to chlorhexidine & where longer term use of an antibacterial is required. 15mls rinsed vigorously around mouth for 1 minute, then spit out excess.DO NOT SWALLOW EXCESS. For best results do not rinse/eat/drink for 30 min's. Colgate advises twice daily usage. Not affected by presence of Fluoride.
Warnings
Do not swallow. Keep out of reach of children. Not recommended to be used for children under 12
